The middle school language curriculum is divided into three different areas. The level of difficulty increases as they progress from 6th through 8th grade.
Literature – This encompasses reading novels, sections of novels, and short stories. We read a variety of genres in class from informational to fictional. Students also read books of their choice independently and are assigned reports.
Language – This entails punctuation, grammar, and writing papers. Papers vary by grade but are not limited to research papers, book reports, dialogues, and essays.
Vocabulary- This part involves learning new vocabulary words, spelling, and Greek and Latin roots.
