Free and Reduced Lunch Holy Spirit Catholic School participates in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program for qualified families. Home and School Involvement Home and School is a school organization that will host events throughout the year to encourage family engagement and involvement. Some events include Pizza Knights, Skating Knights, Bingo Knights, etc. Look for more information about these events, throughout the year, in our Knight News newsletters.
Parent Involvement Program Parent involvement is required in having a child(ren) enrolled at Holy Spirit. Parents may choose to pay the fee or give hours of their time to Holy Spirit School. Background check In order to volunteer at Holy Spirit, with having contact with students, you must have a completed VIRTUS class AND a background check through the VIRTUS site. Directions are below. SAFE ENVIRONMENT EMPLOYEE/VOLUNTEER DIRECTIONS & REQUIREMENTS
A copy of your completed training certificate and background check must be on file with the school office before you may volunteer.
**Important update for all volunteers, past and current: In January 2023, the Diocese transitioned to the VIRTUS platform for all initial and on-going safe environment training. Included in this transition is annual recertification training, called A Plan to Protect God’s Children 4.0 Recertification Online Training, required for all employees and all active volunteers.
All Volunteers should have all green buttons on their VIRTUS account in order to volunteer and be current with your signatures and training. Please make sure your VIRTUS email is up to date so you get notification when you have a new training, bulletin, or document to sign. Playground Volunteers Volunteers must be VIRTUS trained and have a background check. Click here for more information. A Sign-Up Genius will be shared in the weekly Knight News newsletter. Field Trips Holy Spirit will offer educational field trips for students. Parents may have an opportunity to help chaperone, but must be VIRTUS trained and have a background check. Tuition Tuition is taken care of through the parish business office and our Tuition Management System, Blackbaud. Doris Frank and Joan Boots take care of the school finances.
