My name is Lisa Zdrazil and this is my 2nd year as the Reading Interventionist (4K - 5th grade) at Holy Spirit School. I have a BA (Iona College) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (Manhattanville College) degrees. I also have a Masters of Literacy and Language from UW Oshkosh.
I taught middle/high school math for 8 years, and I substitute taught for several years. I was a stay-at-home mom for 4 non-consecutive years. I was the reading interventionist at NDLC for one year, so this is my 3rd year as a reading interventionist.
I use Leveled Literacy Intervention with my students as well as many different activities and literacy games to help them increase their reading and writing skills. I love teaching and I always strive to make learning fun and interesting.
My husband and I live in Hortonville and we have 2 boys, Daniel (12) and Christian (7). We love reading, walking, going to Urban Air, swimming, and spending time with relatives and friends.
My love for Catholic education started when I went to kindergarten at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in NY. I believe that it is very important to learn in a Christ-centered environment and always remember the special gifts that the Lord gives us. We need to use those gifts to achieve our full potential, academically, socially, and spiritually.
