Hi! I am Michelle Bongers, and I am so excited to start teaching at Holy Spirit this year! I will be the middle school Social Studies teacher (6th and 7th grade World History, and 8th grade US History), as well as the Reading Specialist.

I graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2011 with a major in Elementary Education, minored in English. I completed my Masters in Reading Education from Grand Canyon University in 2023.

Since 2014, I had been teaching at James Madison Middle School in Appleton, teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts. Prior to that, I taught in Waterloo and Grafton as well.

I am so happy to be teaching at the same school that my children attend. My son, Justin, will be in 1st grade, and my daughter Hailey will be in 3K. I am excited for my 2 year-old Faith to start 3K next year!

My favorite activities include reading, running, and waterskiing! My husband Mike and I are on the Waterboard Warriors Waterski Show Team and love performing for the crowds all summer.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Holy Spirit family, and can't wait to get to know everyone. I love that this school has such a positive atmosphere, high expectations for students, and kids that love learning!
